Tips on Domestic Traveling Routes:

Via Air:  Small airports such as Enrique Malek located in David, Aeropuerto Marcos in Albrook, Chirqui provide flight services to all interior centers of the country. These domestic services are operated by Aerotaxi, Aeroperlas, Aviatur, AeroMapiex and Ansa.

 

Via Rail: Presently, only freight trains are operated by Ferrocarril de Panama. The PCRC (Panama Canal Railway Company) provides a passenger route of 47 miles, from Panama City to Colon. Via Road: The road services are considerably good throughout the Panama. The Panama City is linked to Colon by the Trans Isthman highway. The traveling time is reduced by around 30 minutes because of the toll road, Corredor Norte.

 

Bus services are provided amongst the large towns, but sometimes, these services tend to be slow moving. Taxis are not metered and the taxi fares are considerably low. Usually, the taxi fares are fixed in advance. Here, the taxi drivers are never a hope for any kind of tips.

 Drivers and frontal seat passenger have to wear the seatbelts all the time. The back seat is fitted with child seat that is reserved for small children of below 5 years of age. A national driving license is legally required, but a motor insurance is not mandatory. Incase of any accident, the tourists need to wait until the arrival of the traffic police.
